Meryl Y. Stein MD is a physiatrist who non-surgically treats sports, spine, and other musculoskeletal injuries. She is also a licensed acupuncturist. She uses an evidence-based approach to improve the quality of life for her patients whether they are elite athletes, “weekend warriors”, or senior citizens with back pain. She treats the entire range of neuromusculoskeletal injuries, including repetitive-motion type injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, acute or sub-acute musculoskeletal injuries such as ankle sprains and shoulder injuries/pain, neck and back pain, and osteoarthritis. She also has considerable experience treating anxiety and other psychological disorders and gynecologic disorders. She is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Stein grew up in Cherry Hill and attended UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Cooper Hospital. She completed both her residency and her acupuncture training at Harvard University. After her residency, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania before starting her own practice.
